Education & Research
Supporting Knowledge. Inspiring Responsibility.
At La Vanille Nature Park, we believe the best classroom has no walls.
We welcome schools, colleges, and young explorers to step into nature, meet incredible animals, and discover what conservation really means, through hands-on experiences they'll actually remember.
Education
Where Learning Meets Nature
Forget desks and bells. Here, learning happens face-to-face with giant tortoises, crocodiles, and native Mauritian wildlife.

Learning by Doing
We don't just talk about conservation. We show it.
Students observe, ask questions, touch, explore, and connect. Whether it's their first time seeing a giant tortoise or their tenth, something clicks when you're standing right there in nature.
What's included in a school visit:
✔ Interactive museum time
✔ Fun awareness sessions
✔ Real conversations about protecting wildlife
Because a 6-year-old and a 16-year-old learn very differently and we love both.
Supporting Real Research.
Protecting Real Animals.
We don't just host visitors. We work behind the scenes too.
From breeding programmes to habitat care and species monitoring, La Vanille plays an active role in protecting Mauritius' unique wildlife, today and for the future.
Our Conservation focus includes:
- Watching and recording animal behaviour
- Helping rare species breed safely
- Managing natural habitats
- Teaching everyone who visits why this all matters
Special Rates for Mauritius School Outings
We make it easy and affordable for local schools to bring students here.
Dedicated programmes, special conditions, and a warm welcome because every Mauritian child deserves to grow up knowing their island's incredible wildlife.
Learning Should Be for Everyone
We keep our programmes accessible, respectful to animals, and genuinely useful.
No performative “eco-talking.” Just real experiences that leave students thinking differently about nature and maybe even choosing to protect it one day.
